WSJ Confirms Why You Need to Use Zillow 3D and Interactive Floor Plans

The world’s most visited real estate website (do we even have to say their name?) announced last week that they are now offering 3D interactive tours to delight their more than 9.6 billion visitors annually.

Zillow, in case you were wondering who we were talking about, is where people are searching for homes online. In light of the pandemic and the many potentially permanent effects, businesses are evolving to offer consumers a digital and virtual experience that allows them to not only become informed, but also to make purchasing or leasing decisions online.

The choice of where to live and work requires a lot more information than which shoe will offer the ideal arch support or which Zoom light will make me look best in virtual meetings. That is why our friends at Zillow are declaring that the combination of photos, Zillow 3D, and interactive floor plans are now the standard. If you are reading this and plan on transacting real estate in 2021 and beyond, the message is strikingly direct. You should be investing in interactive tour technology.

Consumers are demanding to understand not only the visual features of a home, but more specifically, the actual layout, the flow from room to room, the exact measurements of space and ultimately the full picture (no pun intended) of what a home can offer their desired lifestyle.

Zillow 3D meets this moment sharing that homes with 3D imagery and floor plans garner the most attention and interest on their site. We agree with Zillow that 3D is the perfect complement to what PlanOmatic has been offering our clients since 2005 – interactive floor plans and photography products that allow our clients to effectively and efficiently market their real estate transactions. Now, 3D takes everything to the next level.

Come on everyone, the 3D tour boat is leaving the harbor. Time to get on board!
